AMAZN HQ Freelance Videographer Network
In Dec. 2019, AMAZN HQ was founded with a simple mission – to serve as THE PLATFORM for Asians and Asian Americans in sports. Over the past four years, we’ve been able to build a passionate audience base of nearly 150,000 across social media platforms. We’ve hosted All-Star Showcases bringing together North America’s best athletes. We’ve partnered with America’s biggest sports leagues like the NFL and NBA. And most importantly, we’ve begun to rewrite the narrative of what it means to be an Asian athlete.
Now, we’re extending our hands to the creators of the world and launching the AMAZN HQ Freelance Videography Network. Our intention is to establish meaningful partnerships with Asian & Asian American videographers worldwide and allow them unique and exclusive opportunities to capture the community’s greatest sports stars, simultaneously elevating their own platforms.
AMAZN HQ FREELANCE VIDEOGRAPHER APPLICATION FORM
Overview
- The mission of this freelance creator network is to build a community of videographers passionate about the Asian sporting community that spans the USA, Canada, and other overseas communities
- AMAZN HQ will have a content calendar for games and other video shoots. Through our internal communication platforms, we will reach out to members of the creator network in each shoot’s specific region to be tasked with filming and minimally editing video content of individual games/events, and players across various sports (HS, club, college, and pro levels). Creators within the network may also be contacted for larger projects
- Creators will have the ability to get credentialed to high-level athletic competitions through AMAZN HQ’s connections
- Creators will have the ability to grow their brand exposure through collaboration posts
- Creators will have the ability to form connections and build community with others within the network
Compensation
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed
- For most projects, creators will be compensated in one of two ways: Via a flat fee (per event) or a revenue-sharing agreement on content that appears on AMAZN HQ platforms that primarily uses their originally filmed footage
- Note: In most cases, this will not be a high-paying opportunity. Although we do compensate, this opportunity is tailored more for those who are passionate about participating in the AMAZN HQ mission and have a desire to build out their brand
Requirements
- MUST own a DSLR or mirrorless camera and have adequate experience filming sports content
- MUST have simple editing capabilities to cut up footage
- MUST be able to show examples of past work in the application
